What are we teaching our children?
I read the most absurd article yesterday and I just have to share!
Apparently a California School District is stating to their 39,000 students that a good nights sleep helps to prevent HIV and other STDs. In addition, no where in their teaching do they discuss condom use.
A parent is suing for biased and abstinence only education. “Our kids need complete, accurate information to help them protect themselves against STDs and unintended pregnancy," said Aubree Smith, a plaintiff in the suit and mother of a 17-year-old daughter.
This is the first lawsuit of its kind since the law was passed in 2003 requiring public schools to provide sexual education that is "comprehensive, medically accurate, science-based, and bias-free." References in the sex ed teaching materials include the promotion of abstinence until marriage and the comparison of a girl who is not a virgin to a "dirty shoe."
While this appalling news breaks, Mississippi, which has the highest teen pregnancy rates in the state, are abandoning their "abstinence only" approach and opting for small steps toward a more honest conversation about sexual health.
The 2011 measure to provide gender-separated sexual education goes into effect for this upcoming school year. This measure requires parent permission of their child's participation. However 81 of Mississippi’s school districts, over half, have chosen to retain abstinence-only as their sole method of instruction. Seventy-one districts will adopt “abstinence-plus” classes that will continue to advocate for abstaining from sex, but include the mention of some forms of contraception.
It is time to stop teaching children with what are personal views and instead give them the knowledge to protect themselves with whatever they decide! Ask yourself this question, "did you always conform to your parents and teachers views?"

The art of seduction
When you have been together for some time things can become very routine. The last thing that you want is routine sex or even worse...none at all!
There are times when you will need to seduce your lover into bed or where ever else you desire. Seduction can be a difficult thing as it requires confidence. We are all insecure about our bodies and sex appeal. But realize that the one you are in love with sees you as the center of their world.
Sometimes a glass of wine will soften your mood (liquid courage). Put on clothing, scents, make up that make you feel sexy because when you feel sexy you can channel seduction. Turn on a little music and dance around, moving your hips with rhythm. A dress with no panties, his button up shirt, some heels, silky lingerie...something that will turn their head. Kissing his/her neck and ears is a suggestive gesture.
If all else fails take it all off and drag them to bed :-D
Be sure to visit our online store for great seduction items www.nkonline.biz

Pro Rape?....Todd Akin
Pro life vs. Pro choice has been a debate for many years with valid argument from both sides. My personal view is Pro choice as I was not born into a world of black and white. In the "real world" there are many shades of grey! Truthfully it should be a woman's choice. It is highly disturbing to walk into a clinic while you are being heckled by the Pro life brigade. Those people never consider that maybe a woman is there for another reason such as prevention, screening, counseling. You are actually detouring them from seeking health care!
I am further, repulsed by the fabricated misconceptions of politicians such as Todd Akin! Do your research before you speak! Know that the woman who was raped is a victim and some are not strong enough to follow through with the pregnancy. Unfortunately sometimes the child of this assault who has been born becomes the victim because they remind their mothers of "him." A child born to neglect and abuse - better than not being born? I know what you are gonna say....how about adoption. This can be a great option but can you guarantee that the child's birth mother will take care during her pregnancy, handle the pressure of her nightmares? And how about all the pre-screening? It will take a special couple to want to adopt a child who is the product of rape over the doctor, lawyer or even teenagers baby!
Abortion is not a practical birth control method but there are certainly acceptable circumstances. Education is key people! This issue should not be a form of debate and vote for the Democrats and Republicans!

Do you fake it?
Many women have found themselves faking an orgasm. Each have their own reason for doing so. We women are a complicated species who have many things on their mind and are always on the go. We work, keep house, raise children and tend to many tasks everyday.
So we have been known to fake it! Why? Because we are tired, we have things to do, we want to keep our man, we don't want to hurt his feelings. There are more reasons then time in the day. The sad part is if you don't communicate your needs and desires, there is no chance that they will be met. Though sex is not the most important part of a relationship it still is pretty important.
What may surprise you is that more and more men are faking orgasms these days! Though for some the reasons are the same as they are for women but for others it is because erectile dysfunction or too much self pleasure. They have a difficult time climaxing and feel the need to fake it. After all, we women are very sensitive and if even for a second we believe we can't arouse our mate, our egos would be devastated!
My advise is that sometimes it is ok to fake it but if you find you fake it more than feel it, you are doing both you and your mate an injustice!

Censorship
So I received an email from my AdSense account stating that my blog material was in violation of their advertising requirements. Due to the sexual nature of my articles, I am not allowed to have advertising on my page. I also had to jump through many a hurdle to advertise on FaceBook and assume that if I ran the ad again now that I have several posts, I will likely have that ad rejected as well.
So I ask you.....what's a girl to do to get some business! It seems to me that people enjoy my blog and my products but will not stand behind it when I need them most! Sex is an important topic and needs discussion, education, and tools. So why is it always behind closed doors? In school, I did not get the ex talk until after I was pregnant. And what about freedom of speech? We all have opinions but are ridiculed when we give it.
I empower you to ask your questions, discuss your issues and seek the knowledge you so desire. Power to the people!

The reasons your man should not read 50 Shades of Grey
Even if the guy in your life is an avid reader, you should not encourage him to read the 50 Shades trilogy.
Here is why:
This book fantasizes a sexual relationship that is unrealistic. People do not have as much sex as portrayed in this book nor does a woman orgazim every time she has sex. Also we really do enjoy romance in the way of flowers and notes....not by telling us when to eat, what to drive and how to behave.
You may share exerts from the novels because men are usually receptive to adventurous sexual pleasures. This is really what we want from these books anyway, exploration. Cuffs and toys, bring them in. It is fun to lose control in bed but no strong woman will stand for losing controll in life!

There's an app for that!
Apple banned the option of porn or nudity apps and should you actually want to download these types of apps you will need to get an Android instead. However, there are lots of sex themed apps available through iTunes!
iPeriod: This is an awesome app that allows you to track your period. You can record everything there is to know about your period from start, average of days. It tells you when you might expect your next period and when you may be fertility.
Sexulator: This app tracks your sexual adventures and keeps stats on your weekly, monthly and yearly averages. Great app for the one night standers to track who they have been with.
101 Positions: This is an excellent app to enhance your sexual adventures. It tells you what position works with sitting, standing and helps with the mobility impaired positioning. Unfortunately, with the exception of some oral demonstrations, this is meant for the straight folks.
OhMiBod: This is an interactive app that requires an ohmibod vibrator. Plug it into the earphone hack of your iPhone and the app will allow you to control the toy by moving your finger across your touch screen. The best is the remote control vibrator version. You can order your ohmibod vibrator at my store!
Adult Truth or Dare: Appset Mind hosts a great version of this app allowing you to add your name and as many players as you want. The app will pick a player and offer truth, dare or surprise me. You can remove and add custom questions as well as download more questions. The app is free and the upgrade is only $1.
BoobFacts: Is a great little did you know app. If you appreciate boobs, this app will provide you with fun and informative facts about the girls!
Naughty Facts and Laws: Is a hilarious app that gives you some of the most absurd and ridiculous laws out there related to naughtiness!
So now you know - there is an app for almost anything you could think of!

The History of the Sex Toy
Though sex toys are currently used to aid sexual pleasure, surprisingly, they have been around for ages!
Let's focus on the vibrator: Vibrators are a sex and masturbation tool utilized by women as well as men. However, the first vibrator was created as a therapeutic device for doctors use on female patients that were diagnosed with hysteria. At that time hysteria was one of the most common medical diagnosis' and included symptoms such as nervousness, insomnia, loss of sex drive and the act of causing trouble for others. In retrospect, the symptoms were so brood that most women were diagnosed with hysteria, however, this disorder has since been debunked. Hysteria was originally believed to have been the result of a woman's uterus "wondering" throughout her body. Later physicians viewed the disorder as a consuence of inadequate or insufficient sex.
For many years the treatment of hysteria was a pelvic massage resulting in orgasm. Usually these procedures were done by the doctor and multiple treatments were required. As you could probably imagine, the doctors received a hefty payment for this "procedure".
As electricity came to be a common household item so did vibrators. They were less expensive then going to your doctor to have this work done. Believe it or not the vibrator was approved for home use just after the sewing machine, fan, teakettle and toasters.
Those initial devices look very frightening! And modern day vibrators are now battery operated, solar operated, waterproof, and/or move to the beat of music. They are made in different sizes, shapes and for different orifices. Amazing that this handy pocket rocket started as a medical procedure!

How to prevent your kids from having kids
As you know I am an advocate of open discussions with your children regarding sex and safety. I have a confession to make, I was a teenage mother, therefore I know how difficult it can be. And as I always say...that is the lesser of the consequences of unprotected sex.
So here are some things to ask yourself and discuss with your child, in hopes to prevent pregnancy:
Why is your child having sex? Is it for a new experience? To grow up faster? Peer-pressure? As difficult as this topic may be for you to talk about or your child to hear: discuss masturbation or other ways than pregnancy to feel the adventure.
Think about and tell your children what your family values are. Do you want them to attend college? Will a child burden your entire family financially?
Determine whether your home dynamic is similar to the communities expected normal behavior? Is it socially acceptable for teens to have sex if they have access to protection and are practicing safely? Your children will listen to you more if your views are what is socially acceptable by the community around you. Now I am not saying you have to agree with the worlds logic but don't expect that because you say no sex, that your child will listen.
The last one is probably the hardest! Be honest about what you were doing at their age. If you were having sex, discuss your experience - good and bad. Realize that if you were doing it then it is likely that they are too.
Remember that you cannot control your teens sex life, nor should you but if you are not open with your child then they will not feel comfortable coming to you with questions!

A Vibrator Hot Dog Cart?
This week Trojan began vending out vibrators from a hot dog cart and for free at that! Why, you are asking? To promote their business? That is a bonus but the real reason behind the promotion is to open the lines of communication regarding sexual health and well being. The company wants to make the "vibrator" mainstream and more than just for womens pleasure but a tool for couples enjoyment.
The company aims to give away 10,000 vibrators, which is the largest sex-toy give away ever! Of course by encouraging that vibrators be mainstream they will also increase their sales. As a adult store owner I am down with this message and as a woman I applaud the buzz!
Anything that gets people discussing in a healthy and safe way should be encouraged! Women are often mute to the discussion of pleasure and men really do want to please us in bed. Let's not feel so shy and embarrassed about what we like because you will never get it if you never ask!
Also with the lines of communication open in the bedroom department the discussion of safe sex can be had. People are so off-put by this topic which has unfortunately fueled the AIDS epidemic!
So go...discuss...and enjoy! Be sure to visit my on-line store for all your vibrator and safe sex needs : www.nkonline.biz

Women enjoy porn too
Men please read this one carefully
I am not speaking for all women as there are ladies who are extremely repulsed by pornographic material but there are many women who enjoy an occasional viewing. We know that men are very visual and women feel with their ears. Therefore, women tend to enjoy romantic relations as opposed to the hard-core office bang! Not to say that sometimes we are interested in watching this type of video too!
Here is what is important to know about the porn you see: some women enjoy what is being done in the video but most do not. The ladies in the video are getting paid to do what they are doing. So no I am not interested in being double teamed by you and your best friend, no I will not greet the pizza man nude and give him the thrill of his life and no girls night out does not consist of a drunken all girl orgy! Sorry to burst your bubble guys but just as the romance novels and movies us women read and watch, the acts being viewed on your computer screen are fictional.
Please learn the difference between what is real and what is acting. Not all women are the same so what is the most important is to learn what yours likes because as they say "happy wife, happy life!" Don't let porn become an addiction, instead watch together and enjoy!

50 Shades Baby Boom?
50 Shades has taken the nation by storm with women engrossed in the lusty chapters. Everyone from your daughter to your grandmother is enthralled in the steamy relationship of Christian and Anastasia. There is even talk of a movie version coming to theaters! The books are so popular that the trilogy has even outsold Harry Potter books!
So with the buzz on these books...is it possible that there will be a baby boom? I will be the first to admit that some of the described scenes left me breathless and hot. I think it is very likely that many women have found their inner goddess through reading this detailed depiction of sex at it's best. Many an idea pops into a girls head once her imagination paints the picture of what she is reading. So I think it is quite possible that we will soon see Grey babies in the world!
If you are interested in the trilogy or any items mentioned in the books, be sure to visit my store. Here is a link to take you right to your very own 50 Shades.

5 Cheap Aphrodisiacs
Everyone has heard about food that gets you in the mood but there are some items on the list that would surprise you. Here are five affordable foods that will make you skinny and get you in the mood:
- Pumpkin Seeds - are high in zinc which promotes prostate health. Low levels of zinc in your system has also bee linked to depression. You can also eat pumpkin, if you would rather, as the scent of pumpkin has been shown to boost blood flow by 40 percent.
- Asparagus - has vitamin E which plays a role in the production of sex hormones. Though eating asparagus can cause smelly urine and a funny taste to your mans' juices it can rev up his libido so you will have to weigh the consequences.
- Carrots - are packed with vitamin A which can keep his little swimmers strong as well as assist in producing sex hormones. You may want to make sure you are on the pill though if your man is a Bugs Bunny!
- Pineapple - has a ton of vitamin C. Vitamin C has been used to remedy impotence as well as make his swimmers taste a bit sweeter.
- Figs - the inside of a fig resembles a womans genitalia and just by eating one you can "practice" for her pleasure.

Life isn't a fairy tale!
We grow up hearing stories of the damsel in distress and the prince who rescues her.
The truth however differs greatly! There are princes in the world but their armor is a bit tarnished. And you usually have to kiss a few frogs to find him. If you are in distress you are merely prey to the wolves who lurk in the dark. Then once your compromised fairy tale is somewhat what you hoped for your kin cause you headaches and heartache.
The happy ending to the real fairy tales is the day that you and your prince (who no longer fits in his armor) sit hand in hand watching your grand kids play in the yard.
Moral to the story is life is hard and you must be strong enough to save yourself or you will never make it!

Porn at work?
I heard the most disturbing news yesterday. Employees at the Pentagon are risking a breech of security for viewing porn at the office. It is really easy in my line of business to have porn be an acceptable part of my work day but I still would never consider it.
I am not opposed to viewing porn.......but at work! Who has the audacity? There is somethings that should only happen in the privacy of your home - and that is one of them. And if you might possibly risk the security of our nation!! Are you serious?
Alright, I will get off the soap box now but I would love your input on the subject! Do you think it is ok to view porn on a work computer?

How to cope with a broken heart
Losing love is one of the most emotionally damaging things that a person has to go through. All of our senses are tied to our heart. A scent reminds you of your childhood, a face brings you back to your first love, that song is the song you had your first dance too, that silky material portrays the image of your mothers best dress. So with our senses bringing feelings it is difficult to move past the sting of the one who left.
Sometimes our hearts break because we split with someone. Maybe your love passed on. It may even be a child who has asked to live with their father. But no matter how it happened your heart is broken. Unfortunately time does not stand still in that moment and your heart must mend.
Here are some tips to help you heal:
1. Know that you are not the only person in the world with these feelings!
2. Talk about it - whether with someone you can trust or to someone who is going through it as well.
3. If you have trouble talking - write it down. Expressing yourself in a journal can help you relieve the pain by getting it out of your head.
4. Eat chocolate - or whatever it is you enjoy! I am not saying over-eat to block the pain but finding some joy within your life helps...in moderation!
Time heals all wounds and most of the time there is reason behind the loss that will bring you to a better place.
